To enlarge the message window, first click on a hint of your choice.
Now click on the Messages tab.
Now navigate with the mouse to the following symbol.
You will see an icon with an arrow pointing in the opposite direction, from now on you can hold down the mouse button and zoom in/out of the field as required.
